Executive Chef

Since his arrival in NYC in 1998, our Executive Sushi Chef Jason Chen has been working at different Japanese restaurants building up his resume and exposures. As the owner and Executive Chef of Honshu Sushi and Noodle Lounge, Jason cooks up innovative, modern, vibrant and flavorful dishes. When he is not working, he enjoys taking his family out to try out different restaurants in search for new experience that will entertain your taste buds.

Quality of food

If you’ve visited our restaurant before, you know that we do not have space for a freezer. It does not matter rain or snow, our fish delivery must be arrived everyday.
We love clean, fresh food. Each day our fish is comes directly from the fishmongers in Elizabeth, NJ and others to be served on your plate.

New Honshu

We moved a block away from 31 Montgomery Street to 95 Greene Street. We are serving full-alcohol and no longer BYOB. What's new? Plenty. We are focusing to create new fusion dishes, make rolls from non-sushi-rice, and create unique appetizers. Our bartender works together with our certified sake adviser to make better experience of sake, wine and cocktails.
We do not serve sake with sake cup like other restaurant, however, nice classy wine glass. We want you enjoy the aroma of the sake as well with the taste. That is the modern sake should be. You pay once, we give you two experiences: aroma and taste.
